Cartier’s ‘Shape Your Time’ exhibit was developed as an immersive environment for hosting specialized events and dinners while displaying the luxury brand’s male-oriented products. Situated within a suburban Japanese home designed by Tadao Ando, the exhibit was designed to cohesively interact with different spaces within the residential environment. On the ground floor, free-standing furniture pieces, such as a writing desk, corrugated screen, dining table and lounge, were designed with integrated display elements, suggesting a seamless rapport between Cartier’s products and the Japanese lifestyle. The lower level, with access to the garden, included a field of Roman-numeral column displays highlighting Cartier products in a graphic and serene environment. A linear, interactive display element spanned the length of the connecting gallery space, creating a rhythmic and geometric element illuminating the lineage of Cartier products.
