For its third year in 2012, AD Magazine hosted AD Intérieurs at Artcurial, with the theme of “Voyages Imaginaires” (“Imaginary Journeys”). This design consists of a dual living space for dining, working, and resting. Simplistic black and whites are infused with pops of rich eggplant, dark wood and teal, in the patterned carpet by Inigo Elizalde. In partnership with Baccarat, the space was illuminated with two crystal chandeliers as well as industrial neon lights, reconciling tradition and modernity. The multipurpose environment is arranged in two sections: the bedroom, whose bed extends into bench seating, and the office, which also serves as the dining room. The hard-lined geometric floor echoes the dynamic shapes of the bed and office, which are multiplied to infinity by highly reflective black walls and ceiling. The glimmering, encased chandeliers evoke a ghostly and darkly glamorous atmosphere.
